Commissioning a Painting

 I would love to work with you on the creation of a painting that you desire.

I work comfortably from life and from photographs. Working strictly from photos is necessary with children and pets, or for posthumous portraits. We will discuss your desires for the finished portrait or painting. I will schedule a convenient time to photograph the subject (children – pets). I may request some time with the subject for sketching and a quick oil study. We will cover best lighting and pose, clothing and setting.  

I require a signed contract and a deposit of 40%, prior to beginning the portrait or painting.  The balance is due upon completion of commission, and acceptance by client. I may request an additional sitting with subject for portraits. Turn around time normally one month, from receipt of initial deposit, depending on size and complexity of work. Fees do not include shipping and framing. I offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee.

 The client is not obligated to accept any portrait or commissioned painting, unless completely satisfied.

Painting Commission fees vary on the complexity and size of the painting.   

Individual or Family Portraits          12″ x 16″ –  24″ x 36″          $575.00 –  $2500.00

          Pet Portraits       12″ x 12″ – 11″ x 14″     $400.00 – $500.00
